Pacific NW Delorean Club is bringing a Delorian and our own Arbor Lodge band Jawbone Flats will be singing tunes. We've also arranged for some great food options from: Eddies Flat Iron Pizza, ChickpeaDX, Ruby Jewel, Voodoo Donuts, Eva's Herbucha, Moberi Bike Powered Smoothies and Spunky Monkey Coffee. Arbor Lodge Garden Tour, August 17th, 4-6 pm
Come join us and tour 5 Audubon Certified Backyard Habitats and one Community Sharing Garden this Sunday, August 17th. Meet at Arbor Lodge Park in the corner near the intersection of Dekum and Delaware. Bring your walking shoes! Maps provided if you prefer to drive or bike. We have a free raffle for all participants, prizes include: 1) native plant start, 2) a Mason Bee house for bee tubes, and 3) one Gift Certificate to waive the $25 fee to apply for Backyard Certification. We've been working to develop a budget for our current fiscal year. , and invite neighbors to review. and submit comments - either here or at our meeting next week, 6:30pm at the Kenton Firehouse. We will discuss the budget again later this year.

Update: August 7th 2014
Fill Our Closets!Please support both Chief Joseph/Ockley Green "Community Zone" and Peninsula PTA Clothes Closets. Bring gently used, clean donations to our event tent during Harper's Playground Community Play Day and Arbor Lodge Movies in the Park on August 17th from 11am until dark. Peninsula's focus is on helping children recover from embarrassing situations and quickly return to the classroom. We need new underwear in all sizes, belts for boys and men, kids pants size 4-16. CJOG runs an outreach closet and they are low on deodorant, soaps of all kinds, toilet paper, new socks, clothes hangers, girls pants size 10-16, girls medium size shirts, and girls shoes sizes 5-8. No tank tops please. Any cash or check donations will be graciously accepted and split between both closets to fill in as needed. Thank you for cleaning out your closets to fill ours! Pesticide Free Park work party this Saturday, August 9th, 9-12, noon.
Come help us keep Arbor Lodge Park one of 3 remaining pesticide free Parks in Portland. It all depends on volunteers like you!Meet up at the baseball diamond off Dekum, near Greeley.We'll do some basic clean up throughout the Park, get to know our neighbors, share snacks, and make the Park shine for the Movie in the Park event just one week later. Thank you!
