Arbor Lodge Emergency Preparedness Training

May 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.Portland Village School, 7654 N Delaware Avenue.

The key to surviving a disaster is a close network of friends and neighbors. Arbor Lodge is joining a citywide effort called Map Your Neighborhood—a block-by-block meeting that brings neighbors together in advance of an emergency. Learn how to prepare for emergencies, who may need... help, unknown hazards on your block and more.

Join your neighborhood NET team for some veggie chili and a training May 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Portland Village School, 7654 N Delaware Avenue. Alice Busch, Emergency Management Coordinator at Multnomah County Department of Human Services, will teach Map Your Neighborhood basics to a core group of volunteers who can then host a meeting on their own block, or help out on several blocks this summer.

Other ways to help? Plan to host a meeting on your block! Contact Lee at lvdvoo@gmail.com or call 503-531-1101 to organize a potluck designed to bring your block together.

(This activity is brought to you by your neighborhood NET Team. We're trained to assist in a disaster and are working hard to get Arbor Lodge prepared.)
